International Laser Group Owners Awarded for Outstanding Contributions to Community

ILG OwnersWOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — ILG owners Gary and Cindy Michaels have been presented with the prestigious Aliyah Award for their humanitarian efforts in establishing and supporting Temple Aliyah’s “Community of Caring” program.

The “Community of Caring” program was established three and a half years ago when Gary Michaels, ILG founder and COO, approached Rabbi Steward Vogel with his idea of offering humanitarian services through Temple Aliyah. The program would turn out to be one of the first of its kind throughout America and the American Jewish community. Today, Temple Aliyah’s “Community of Caring” is flourishing, and provides wonderful services for the elderly, ailing and disabled, as well as joining forces with other religions in reaching out to those in need in the community.

“Cindy and I have enjoyed a shared commitment to help those who are in need of a second chance,” said Gary Michaels. “We believe that people can turn their lives around if they are given the opportunity. Some of our most valuable and long-standing employees have pulled themselves out of desperate situations. They have worked hard and proved themselves, and ILG is a better company because of their contributions.”
