Parts Now! Enters Computer Parts Market

MIDDLETON, Wis. — Parts Now!, a distributor of laser printer parts in North America, announced its entry into the computer parts market.

According to IDC’s latest forecast, the outlook for worldwide PC shipments in 2007 shows a robust 12.2 percent growth rate. As service vendors keep up with the inventory needed to address this market segment, Parts Now! is prepared to offer them the parts to meet the challenge.

“Many of our customers service desktop computers and laptops in addition to printers. Offering multi-vendor parts that support devices attached to printers is a logical step forward for us. Helping our customers succeed in the markets that they serve is our goal,” said Kevin Guy, vice president of sales and marketing.

Parts Now! will serve as a single source for new and refurbished IT service parts. The expanded assortment includes system boards, hard drives, batteries, power supplies, microprocessors, memory, CD and DVD drives, input devices, display monitors and network products. The company plans to maintain the same level of service as it has done with printer parts, including a minimum of 98 percent fill rates on same-day orders and a six-month warranty on refurbished parts and compatibles.

According to Guy, Parts Now!’s access to a large network of suppliers combined with the strength of its own distribution, will offer a complete solution to underserved customers in the computer parts marketplace.
