Lasertech U.K. Moves Into New, Larger Corporate Headquarters

Lasertech tourWARRINGTON, England — Lasertech, on July 20 opened, its new corporate headquarters in Warrington. It was the fifth move in the company’s 18-year history.

The new offices are five times bigger than the previous house franchise management and include support staff, warehousing, both ink and toner factories, a call center, IT and general office space.

The official opening was presided over by Councillor Celia Jordan MBE, mayor of Warrington, who, in her opening speech echoed everyone’s sentiment that the Lasertech success story is something that not only Warrington people should be proud of, but the whole U.K.

The many VIP guests at the opening were treated to a tour of the site and given a short history lesson on Lasertech and enjoyed a welcome buffet and champagne.

The grand opening was attended by all the companies that had assisted Lasertech in the move and provided support over the years including the major banks, charities, print cartridges and office products OEMs, and warehouse, office and factory suppliers.

Lasertech founder Jason Williams from Cheshire, 18 years ago hit upon the idea of helping businesses save money by remanufacturing their empty printer cartridges. The business was initially run from his bedroom and quickly became a hit with businesses all over the U.K.

During the next 12 years the business expanded and included a move to larger premises in Warrington, and during this time the company started its now famous Lasertech Recycling Program, employed five staff and gained ISO9001 and ISO 14001 certification becoming the first in the industry to do so.

Today Lasertech employs more than 50 people with more than 85 franchisee territories operating across the U.K., Ireland and Spain, supplying a range of 10,000 printer cartridges and 25,000 office products.
