PTi Announces Sales Additions, Promotions

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Printing Technology Inc. announced that Julian DeSalay and Sevag Garabadian have joined the company as vice president of Domestic Sales and sales executive, respectively. Josie Paas and Daniel Palomares have also been promoted from the customer service team to full-time sales executives.
“The additions to our sales department come at a welcome time as PTi continues to grow,” said Peter DeSalay, PTi’s President and CEO. “Overall, in the last nine months our inkjet, mono laser, and color laser business has taken off as we are seeing a large customer base start to seek high reliable quality over cheaper commodity cartridges that some manufacturers are outsourcing to be competitive. By strengthening our sales team, we can assure our customers the same level of service they have become accustomed to from PTi. We are genuinely excited to have Julian, Sevag, Josie, and Daniel working together to achieve this.”
“Julian DeSalay will be responsible for and overseeing PTi’s domestic sales team,” said Joseph Fischer, senior vice president of sales. “As vice president of domestic sales, he will focus on our sales and customer service team’s skills, by integrating new technologies into old, fashion sales practices.”
“Since I’ve basically grown up in this business, working on and off since I was 12 years old, then stepping away for a brief time, I’m able to see areas now where PTi customers can benefit by streamlining our sales cycle and order process,” Julian DeSalay said.
Julian DeSalay earned a bachelor’s degree in international business from California State University at Northridge.
“Sevag Garabadian will be handling the small to midsize customer segment for PTi,” DeSalay said.
Prior to joining PTi, Garabadian had been a solid performer at Countrywide Mortgage.
“This is just what dealers expect from their suppliers so we have high expectations he will do the same for PTi’s loyal customers,” DeSalay said. Garabadian earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University at Northridge.
Promoted from the customer service team are Paas and Palomares.
“Josie is one of the oldest employees on the PTi sales team in terms of time of employment,” said Julian DeSalay. Coming from the QIP acquisition, she started with the company in 1990 as a data entry specialist and transitioned to customer service when PTi acquired QIP in 2005.
“Customers really enjoy talking to her and it was a natural to move her to sales full time. Daniel also has a lot of experience within the industry starting in 2001 and has been a solid member of the PTi sales team since January developing a reputation of finding the hidden opportunities within and for his customer base. Their promotions have been well received by our customers.”
