High Seas Will Be Home to 2008 Int’l ITC Conference
LAS VEGAS — The International Imaging Technology Council (Int’l ITC) Board of Directors will once again host the 2008 Int’l ITC conference aboard the Enchantment of the Sea, sailing on May 8, 2008. The ship will be the setting for a full day of interactive panels, meetings and education, as well as networking activities and parties.
Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas will also make stops for day trips to Key West, Fla. and Cozumel, Mexico. “The Board concluded a cruise offers a unique, relaxed industry event, and one that will allow industry members to network in an intimate setting,” said Int’l ITC Chairman Lester Cornelius. “We’ll be charting the future of the industry while charting a course to the next Caribbean destination.”
Last year’s cruise was heralded by all who attended as a great event. “In my 15 years in this business, I have never been to a better conference,” said Alpha Laser’s Kevin Dedmon. “I left the event excited about this business and excited about new ways to make my organization more successful.”
Industry leaders will be heading up the networking and education opportunities. Topics that are hot in the industry, such as legal issues, industry trends and changing business models, will be discussed during the day at sea on May 11. Last year’s participants came from Asia, Europe and North and South America.
The Enchantment of the Seas sails from May 8 to 12, which is a Thursday to Monday trip. “The conference kept me out of the office for only two and a half days,” Dedmon said. “To put that in perspective, it’s the same amount of time most people spend at home with the flu once a year.” The cost is as low as $179 per night, which includes stateroom and fine dining.
“One thing is certain, when this boat docks, things will be different. Deals will be done. Plans will be made. Change for the better will be in the wind,” said Int’l ITC Executive Director Tricia Judge. “We hope you will take a long weekend in May to become part of that excitement; part of that change.”
“We are encouraging all members to take part in this meeting where we come together as an industry, and work as a force to improve our marketplace, as opposed to merely competing with each other for customers and dollars,” said Cornelius. “You’ll get a lot of information and a little vacation as well.”
The Int’l ITC is holding a limited number of cabins at a reduced group rate. Call Olivia at 702-838-4279 or visit www.i-itc.org.
