INTEGRAL Acquires Elfotec Toner Plant

KERKEN, Germany — German toner manufacturer INTEGRAL has acquired the manufacturing assets of the Elfotec toner plant in Mönchaltorf, Switzerland. The Elfotec toner plant was a leading production facility in the toner industry.

According to Jan Hagemann, vice president at INTEGRAL, this acquisition was a strategic move to strengthen INTEGRAL’s position in the market as a manufacturer of premium copier and printer toners. The Elfotec acquisition increases INTEGRAL’s total toner manufacturing capacity to approximately 4,000 MT/year. With this capacity INTEGRAL is not only the largest independent toner manufacturer in Europe, but also has some of the largest toner manufacturing capacities among independent toner producers worldwide.

The former Elfotec facility will be integrated into existing INTEGRAL manufacturing facilities in France. The newly acquired manufacturing equipment will be used by INTEGRAL in response to the growing demand from its customers in more than 80 countries. By expanding its capacity, INTEGRAL will be able to better serve new and potential customer groups, including OEMs seeking a service manufacturing partner.

Earlier this year INTEGRAL had acquired New Toner Technologies (NTT), a specialty manufacturer of color toners for ceramics applications. NTT had accumulated extensive expertise in the development of color toner formulations and has been a valuable addition in INTEGRAL’s corporate portfolio.

In addition to its manufacturing facilities INTEGRAL owns and operates one of the largest and best-equipped R&D laboratories for the development of toner as well as for extinctive QC testing to ensure the consistency and reliability of INTEGRAL toner products.

INTEGRAL is a world leader in developing, manufacturing and marketing premium quality branded toners for copying and printing systems with more than 40 years of experience in the market. With headquarters in Germany and manufacturing facilities in France INTEGRAL serves more than 4,000 customers in more than 80 countries.
