R-Jet Tek Releases New Cartridge Cleaning Solution

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Inkjet technology leader R-Jet Tek released the Mini Vacuum Boiler, a new cartridge cleaning solution.

Using a patent-pending VIP, or “Vacuum Impregnation Process,” the ProFill Mini Vacuum Boiler generates a “warm” boil allowing it to energetically hydrate and clean the cartridge sponges, ink delivery channels, and printhead, without damaging the cartridge. With additional centrifuge steps the fluid and ink is removed from the cartridge through both the print head and the ink inlet holes.

This complete process thoroughly cleans the cartridge and prepares it to receive ink. The mini boiler uses a combination of de-ionized water and OCP rinse solution to clean cartridges. The mini boiler will hold up to 30 HP56 sized cartridges, or 10 HP78 sized cartridges, and has a cleaning time of approximately 60 minutes (not including centrifuging). The unit does not contain an on-board heating element. Boiling water from an outside source is required.  A dedicated coffee maker works well for this purpose.

“Every successful refill starts with a clean cartridge,” said R-Jet Tek Director of Sales Andy Martin. “An advantage of the Mini Boiler over other cartridge cleaning equipment, is that there is no need to hook up an external water supply. Also, since you can clean up to 30 cartridges at once, the unit is ideal for batch processing in a volume production environment.”

The Mini Vacuum Boiler was designed and is manufactured by Promax Imaging Ltd., in the United Kingdom. According to Promax, the Mini Boiler has been approved by Cartridge World for use in its European franchises. It is available in North America exclusively from R-JetTek.
