Lasertech Celebrates 20 Years of Thriving Business in Europe

WARRINGTON, Great Britain — Lasertech UK Ltd. celebrated 20 years in the printer cartridge manufacturing business this past January with an awards dinner. Lasertech is one of the United Kingdom’s largest manufacturers of compatible toner and inkjet cartridges and suppliers of office products, with a network approaching 100 franchise territories in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain.
In 2008, the company experienced 72 percent sales increase of Lasertech brand printer cartridges.
“We sell millions of pounds of OEM products each year alongside our Lasertech brand,” said Justin Williams, Lasertech sales director. “However, while OEMs like HP increased prices by up to 40 percent due to the strong gains of the Euro, Lasertech is not as much exposed to currency fluctuations.  This coupled with our fantastic new product development means our products are great value for businesses. Some of our customers are saving more than 80 percent in some cases. Our competitors cannot keep up with us.”
Jason Williams founded the company in 1989 when he was 20. Today he runs the company with his brother Justin.
Lasertech has more than 60 employees at Lasertech’s head office in Warrington, where they have two factories manufacturing ink and toner cartridges and a recycling center.
Lasertech cartridges are manufactured to full ISO standards using the outer plastic shell of empty cartridges returned as part of the Lasertech recycling program.
All internal components are replaced and the new cartridges are made to a similar high-quality standard as manufacturers such as HP and Canon. Lasertech can offer its customers Lasertech-branded cartridges at a fraction of the cost due to manufacturing in the UK.
