Primedia Products Offers RDM EasyCheck MICR Tester
WHEELING, W. Va. — Primedia Products Inc., a leading MICR toner manufacturer, is offering the RDM EasyCheck MICR tester.
EasyCheck is a reasonably-priced control tool that can be used by rechargers or MICR laser-printer users. The tester reads and tests signal levels of MICR font test documents. Primedia will include a free copy of its check-writing software PrimeCheck with the purchase of each EasyCheck. This will enable the recharger to print checks for testing.
The MICR tester features one-touch operation, which virtually eliminates training. There are three screens. The summary screen can identify specific problems with the MICR line, including high- or low-signal level and unrecognized characters. The range screen identifies the characters with the highest and lowest level. By using the arrow keys, the operator can move through all 41 characters. The MICR line screen displays the signal strength and position of each individual character. A document signal level summary report is available by connecting to a laser printer.
