Eco Service Lends Helping Hand to UNICEF Charitable Work
WROCLAW, Poland — Eco Service, a globally-operating empty cartridge broker, proves that success in business may go hand in hand with care for others. Thanks to its ecological and charity drives, Eco Service is changing Poles’ attitude on the issue of empty toner and ink cartridges.
Under the banner of The Envelope of Hope, another edition of By Giving Away, the you help children initiative has been launched in Poland to support UNICEF's work in Africa. The drive, initially targeting businesses and institutions, is now open to everyone in Poland. In selected bookstores and newsagents’ shops across Poland, Eco Service is handing out blue envelopes for empty printer ink cartridges. Empty cartridges are put into envelopes, sealed and mailed. For every item given away, Eco Service places the funds raised into UNICEF's account, thus supporting the drive for improvement of the living conditions and health of the children of Africa. The sum transferred by Eco Service for one cartridge equals an amount that can buy a dinner for one African family, school uniforms for three children or 33 water decontamination tablets.
“There is a lot of interest in the drive,” said Marcin Adamski, Eco Service CEO. “We are happy that Poles are not indifferent to the misery of the young ones, or environment deterioration. All the more so because they may send their help in an envelope.”
Eco Service is one of the largest European companies operating on the empty cartridge collection and sales market.
