Bi-State Business Solutions Acquires United Office Systems
SMITHTOWN, N.Y. – Prosperity Plus Management Consulting, Inc. announced that Bi-State Business Solutions has acquired United Office Systems, a Chicago area supplier of mailing systems. Prosperity Plus represented Rich Grutzmacher, the owner of United Office Systems, throughout the transaction. Bi-State Business Solutions markets under the trade name of Postal Source and has Neopost or Hasler offices in Davenport, Iowa; Madison, Wis.; Quincy, Ill.; and now Chicago, Ill.
United Office Systems, headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Ill, is a Hasler mailiing and shipping systems dealership serving the greater Chicago area. When asked about the sale, Rich Grutzmacher was quoted as saying, "In considering a long-term exit strategy I was concerned about finding the right fit for UOS' employees and customers. Francis Costello (owner of Bi-State) and Bi-State Business are the perfect fit. Their track record for outstanding service is unmatched in the industry."
Grutzmacher will remain a pivotal part of the business through the transition and beyond as he takes on a sales role going forward.
Both dealerships are Neopost-Hasler resellers, which makes the acquisition an expansion move for Bi-State, based in Davenport, Iowa. "We have been looking for opportunities to increase our footprint," said Francis Costello, Bi-State owner. "This purchase of United Office Systems will give us the opportunity to bring our unique solutions to the Chicagoland area. We are excited."
