According to market research firm Gartner, the combined serial inkjet and page printer, copier and multifunction product (MFP) market in India totaled 760,778 units in the third quarter of 2012, a 4.7 percent decline from the third quarter of 2011. The dissuasion from the home segment continued with shipments in the third quarter of 2012 declining 18 percent compared to the third quarter of last year, which indicates this will be a fast-declining market compared to the professional segment.

The Canon imageRUNNER LBP3580 model – which succeeds the imageRUNNER LBP3560 – targets mid- to large-size corporate workgroups and small businesses requiring black-and-white output. With a paper capacity of up to 1,600 sheets, the model outputs monochrome documents at up to 42 ppm with 1,200-by-1,200-dpi resolution.
