Quality Imaging Products Hires Susana Arellano as Quality Manager
LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Quality Imaging Products (QIP), a worldwide toner and inkjet cartridge remanufacturer, recently announced Susana Arellano as its new quality manager.

Most recently, her success at Lucent Technologies suggests that she will contribute a lot to QIP. We expect that Susana will assist us in our mission of becoming the verifiable industry leader in quality," he said.
Prior to joining QIP, Arellano was quality program manager at Lucent Technologies, a hi-tech manufacturer of switches for the communications industry. She was responsible for managing the business unit internal audit program with 76 processes and five geographic locations. Additionally, she lead more than a dozen cross-functional teams to improve interfaces between groups involved in product development, production and sales. She also coordinated the company’s ISO 9001:2000 certification process and created a robust internal audit and corrective action process to support the ISO environment. These systems led to achieving zero non-conformities in five audits conducted by the ISO registrar.
Prior to her position as quality program manager, Arellano was the Statistical Process Control (SPC) engineer for the Lucent Technologies Microelectronics group in Madrid, Spain, and Orlando, Fla. In this role, she directed the SPC program across eight process areas, led three engineering teams to standardize manufacturing in-line sampling, acted as a liaison between quality and production, and was responsible for benchmarking procedures in SPC, production and suppliers.
Arellano was also a statistics and probability instructor at Sussex University in the United Kingdom, and Guanajuato University in Mexico. She received her masters degree in mathematics from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
