Media Sciences Offers New-Build Toner Cartridges for Oki Printers
OAKLAND, N.J. — Media Sciences International Inc., an
independent manufacturer of color toner cartridges and solid ink sticks for
color business printers, announced the launch of Media Sciences 100 percent
newly manufactured, high-quality, color toner cartridges for use in Oki C3100
and C3200 color business printers.
The market opportunity associated with this product launch
is significant, with the installed base for Oki C3100 and C3200 business color
printers now the fourth largest installed base in Media Sciences’ portfolio of
products. The addition of the product line increases Media Sciences’ available
market by 2.2 percentage points.
Increased international sales, a goal set by the company for
fiscal year 2007, is anticipated with these new color toner cartridges, as the
European market comprises more than 80 percent of the installed base. The Oki
C3100 is not sold in the United States.

C3100 and C3200 color business printers marks the beginning of a series of
significant product introductions planned for fiscal year 2007,” said Michael

products offer a substantial savings opportunity to the end user, builds on our
Oki-related family of products, and expands our portfolio of products targeting
the European market.”
When compared to the printer manufacturer’s brand of
supplies, European printer users purchasing Media Sciences’ high-quality,
new-build color toner cartridges for use in the Oki C3100 and C3200 color
printers will save up to 44 percent.

communications is high, the cost of color printer supplies can become a success
barrier for small and midsized businesses,” saud Fran Blanco, Media Sciences’
vice president of sales and marketing. “Product introductions like Media
Sciences’ color toner cartridges for use in the sub-$500 Oki C3100 and C3200
business color printers present a gateway to color for many such businesses.”
The Oki C3100 and C3200 business color printers are popular
among small and midsized businesses and have been well-received in the
marketplace, with accolades for their value, speed, glossy color output, and
the relative affordability of consumables.
