Depot America Partners with Cell Phones for Soldiers
FARMINGDALE, N.J. — Depot America, an industry leader in the remanufacture and resale of quality printer parts, is now an official drop-off location for Cell Phones for Soldiers.
After reading a story about a soldier who ran up a large phone bill calling home from Iraq, Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded by a teenage brother and sister team from Norwell, Mass., with one goal in mind — to provide every U.S. soldier with a way to call home for free.
Old cell phones are collected at official drop-off locations, such as Depot America, then they are recycled and the proceeds are used to buy prepaid calling cards for American soldiers serving in the Middle East.
"Depot America is very excited to be involved with such a great organization. As a remanufacturer we understand the value that even something as small as a cell phone has," said Joe Costa, president of Depot America. "It's a great thing to see a program like this do the double duty of recycling and supporting our troops."
"We're asking Americans to make a small sacrifice of support by donating their out of commission cell phones and helping to provide families with a much needed connection to their loved ones overseas," said Brittany Bergquist, Cell Phones for Soldiers co-founder.
Depot America offers new and refurbished computer printer parts, whole unit printers, component-level repairs as well as logistics and remote monitoring capabilities to support a Managed Print Solution. Depot America is an Authorized Parts Reseller for HP and Lexmark offering same-day shipping, live technical support and the option to order quality printer parts online.
