Dell, Goodwill Expand Free Computer Recycling Program
Dell and Goodwill Industries International have increased the free drop-off computer recycling program Reconnect to include more than 1,400 Goodwill stories nationwide. In seven states — Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and West Virginia — 451 new sites have been added. The program is now available in 18 states and the District of Columbia.
Goodwill, focused on creating job opportunities for individuals with disabilities or others having a difficult time finding employment, plans to hire additional staff to handle the expanded recycling program. Reconnect offers a free way to recycle used computer equipment. Consumers can drop off any brand of used equipment at participating Goodwill donation centers.
