HP Revenue Grows in First Quarter
Hewlett-Packard announced revenue of $31.2 billion for the first quarter, ending Jan. 31, 2010, increased by 8 percent from the same quarter in 2009 when revenue was $28.8 billion. Earnings for the quarter were $3.2 billion, up from $1.9 billion a year earlier.
First quarter revenue was up 9 percent in the Americas to $13.6 billion, up 1 percent in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and 26 percent in Asia Pacific to $12.1 billion and $5.4 billion, respectively.
