Ninestar CEO Jackson Wang said the acceptance of Ninestar’s appeal has "strengthened our confidence."

It’s been six months since the U.S. International Trade Commission found 24 aftermarket importers and resellers of ink cartridges infringed on Epson’s patents. The resulting General Exclusion Order issued by the ITC, which bars all imports of the infringing cartridges, was much publicized as well as unprecedented for the imaging supplies aftermarket. During the legal proceedings only one of the accused companies, Ninestar Image of China, defended its position against Epson. In this month’s Four Questions, Ninestar CEO Jackson Wang reflects on that experience, saying lawsuits are a normal part of today’s business landscape. Wang believes a lot of positive ramifications came from the landmark ruling — some of which are still to be determined. Ninestar also released new cartridges for the Epson Stylus series last month.
