Océ's first system to use CrystalPoint technology is the ColorWave 600.

They’re gellin’. Océ launched a new wide-format printing technology called Océ CrystalPoint. CrystalPoint combines both toner and inkjet printing by converting color Océ TonerPearls toner into a gel. This toner gel is then jetted and crystallized onto any type of paper with extremely accurate dot placement. The first printing system to utilize CrystalPoint technology is the Océ ColorWave 600. With the ColorWave 600, customers can print both color and black and white on lower-cost untreated and recycled paper. Most existing color wide-format products require specially coated inkjet paper.

Affordable consumables. Kodak‘s new ESP 5 all-in-one features pigmented inks that come in a two-cartridge setup with full black ($9.99) and five-ink color cartridges ($14.99). ESP 5 ($169.99) offers print, scan and copy capabilities and has a 3-inch color LCD display along with memory card and USB slots to allow consumers to view, edit and print with or without a computer.
