IJR Adopts ‘Greener‘ Hours of Operation With Four-Day Work Week

July 1, 2008 - page(s): 120
PHOENIX —- IJR Inc. is doing its part to conserve the Earth’s resources by compressing its hours of operation from a five-day work week to four. Beginning last month, IJR’s new hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Friday.

This adjustment will reduce IJR’s environmental footprint by decreasing the amount of weekly miles driven by its employees, resulting in a decrease of harmful vehicle emissions made to the air. This measure provides a fuel savings of 20 percent by reduced employee traffic. Additionally, IJR’s electricity demands are less by adjusting weekly energy needs from five days to four.

“We will continue to insure our products arrive quickly and on time through our newly developed greener approach to business. We appreciate our customers for working with us and helping us achieve our goal for a brighter future,” said IJR President Bob Allen.

IJR Inc., in business since 1978, has thousands of clients worldwide and is a leader in remanufacturing quality imaging supplies.
