American TonerServ has announced letters of intent to acquire Imaging Technology Products and Mid-America Environmental, which does business as Alpha Laser and Alpha Imaging. Both letters of intent, announced within the last month, provide that the parties will endeavor to complete the transactions within 90 days.
Alpha Laser, which provides printing supplies and service, and Alpha Imaging, which sells and services copier equipment, are located in Evansville, Ind. Earlier this year, American TonerServ announced its intention to acquire Pendl of Brookfield, Wis., as a regional hub. The company plans to operate the Mid-America companies as a satellite for the upper Midwest, supporting Pendl's national accounts. Longwood, Fla.-based IT Products would serve a similar role with the company's hub in Tampa, Fla.
According to Dan Brinker, CEO of ATS, "ATS is actively identifying and evaluating additional prospective acquisitions. At the same time, we are strengthening our ability to provide cost-effective printer supplies and maximizing operational efficiencies and infrastructure to support our rapidly growing business."
