The third ReIndia Expo brought together an enthusiastic mix of exhibitors, attendees and industry experts. The combination of education, networking opportunities and a strong floor presence made the show successful.

Exhibitors and attendees from around the globe converged at ReIndia Expo 2010, as the expo rolled out the red carpet for the third time in Mumbai. Held January 29-30 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, the show was an immediate success with close to 2,000 people thronging the venue. The opening event marked a successful day of exhibitions, networking and education.

With a consistent flow of traffic on both days, the exhibitors and the attendees got tremendous opportunities to learn and network. Organizers, exhibitors and attendees alike branded the show a success. “It’s surpassed our expectations and we are very happy with the show,” said Richard Lee, chief executive officer, Nikko Group. “There has been a steady stream of visitors at our booth and we have got an opportunity to explore the potential of the huge Indian market. It is clear that customers in the Indian market are very receptive for new information and ideas.”

ReIndia Expo 2010 continues to be one of the leading business-to-business technology events focused on the imaging industry. Organized by Recharge India magazine, in partnership with Recharger Magazine, ReIndia Expo 2010 was India’s biggest event in the printing consumables industry, serving as a platform for businesses wanting a global presence.

ReIndia proved to be an incredible business opportunity for those who attended. The exhibition not only brought the remanufacturing world together, but also opened up fresh avenues for the domestic companies to compete in the global market. “The larger aim of the show is to give a boost to the remanufacturing market which is an eco-friendly industry. The show aspires to keep exhibitors and attendees abreast of technical, sales, marketing and industry information, so that they can put their best foot forward in the global arena,” said Veerendra Chopra, publisher of Recharge India.

Repeat exhibitors were pleased with the event. “This is UniNet’s third trip to ReIndia Expo,” said Marcela Gasanz, marketing manager for UniNet Imaging. “Like the previous shows our booth saw good traffic this year and we were able to make good business contacts.”

ReIndia Expo is recognized as one of the most significant imaging supplies aftermarket industry and business-to-business technology events in the region. Exhibitors at this important two-day show included UniNet Imaging, Static Control, Indian Toners and Developers Limited, Indigo Prints Smart, Nikko Group, Lipap Systems and Print It to name a few.

The show provided its usual strong learning opportunities in the areas of technology, sales and marketing. The show brought together industry speakers for the Expo’s informative classroom sessions. ReIndia’s education schedule included Paul E. Rossi from CBC, USA. Rossi enlightened the audience with a presentation on the color printer explosion, highlighting the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead on the first day of the show. On the second day of the show, Rossi offered valuable insights on the color laser cartridge remanufacturing component selection.

The Indian experts, who presented at the classroom sessions, emphasized the importance of India’s role in the aftermarket. Atul Tibrewala, founder and MDC of Cartridge Junction India Pvt Ltd, offered valuable guidelines on how refillers and remanufacturers can boost their revenues by utilizing managed print services. He wrapped up his presentation with a Q&A session with an eager audience. Satyendra Proothi, general manager, Indian Toners and Developers Ltd, spoke on the importance of vital components in laser cartridges to a packed room.

“Education is a vital key, especially in a burgeoning market like India and we should have more and more of these classroom sessions at ReIndia Expo 2011. The classroom seminars are a solid foundation to meet the needs of the Indian aftermarket,” Tibrewala said.

Rahul Patil of Indrayani Sales Pvt. Ltd labeled the show a big success. “The timing is good for a show like this. The market is in its early stages and we want to be part of it. The Indian market is growing steadily and is full of potential. The ReIndia show is getting better and better and a show like this in a fast growing market is a success,” said Patil.

Indian Toners and Developers Limited also had a productive event in Mumbai. Sushil Jain, chairman and managing director of Indian Toners and Developers Limited, India’s first and largest independent toner manufacturer, said, “ReIndia 2010 was a good show for us. The show was a good platform for us to meet our dealers and address their issues.”

Praveen Khndelwal, director, Lipap Systems said, “ReIndia Expo was organized well and provided good insights about the Indian and world markets. Shows like these highlight the importance of remanufacturing, which is a green option.” With great feedback pouring in about the Indian market and the ReIndia Expo, booth sales have already begun for next year ’s show. And ReIndia Expo 2011 promises to be back with more people and more products.
