Mechanical Requirements
Artwork/Materials
Digital ads as specified on our Electronic File Specification Sheet are acceptable. Digital files may be submitted on Zip, Jaz, Syquest 44, 88, 135 & 200, 650 MB CD-R Discs, 120 MB Imation SuperDiscs or compressed files via e-mail.
Velox or negatives are acceptable. Negatives must be right reading, emulsion side down. and be composited (150/175-line screen). All photographs must be CMYK (if color) or Grayscale; 300 dpi. Publisher will not be responsible for errors in keying or trimming . live matter. extending too close to trim edges.
Matchprint, color keys or progressive proof must be furnished with each color process ad.
Paper Stock
Covers printed on glossy 10 point cts; inside pages are printed on 5-lb #3 gloss book.
Handling and Storing of Printed Material
Publisher d'es not assume responsibility for specifications. Extra mechanical work necessary to bring supplied materials to stated specifications will be billed at prevailing rates. The publisher will not perform such production work except by separate agreement.
Film is kept on file for no longer than three months following the issue of its most recent use.
